DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure web-based systems and SharePoint environments to support Navy and DoD operations.
• Develop and maintain websites and network systems using programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and C++.
• Design and debug user interfaces to ensure usability, accessibility, and performance across platforms.
• Implement responsive design principles to support mobile and desktop environments.
• Maintain and update databases that support web applications and SharePoint portals.
• Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with Navy cybersecurity protocols.
• Optimize backend performance through efficient queries and data structures.
• Develop, deploy, and sustain SharePoint web pages, including public and private sites.
• Create custom SharePoint solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI where applicable.
• Collect and implement requirements from stakeholders for SharePoint-based workflows and content management.
• Ensure all systems and code comply with Navy cybersecurity policies, including secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.
• Document system designs, configurations, and updates for internal use and audits.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and IT teams to align web systems with broader infrastructure goals.
• Participate in technical reviews and meetings, providing input on system performance and enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4 years of professional experience in relation to using various programming languages to develop websites and network systems, maintaining databases, developing new user interfaces and designing and debugging website.
• Qualified experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and C++ programming language and experience in SharePoint.
• This position is required to be designated as IAT II level. (Security+ for example)
• Must have a Secret clearance or higher depending on the contract requirements.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
