ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Lifts, carries, and loads furniture weighing up to 100 pounds onto box trucks for transport to and from NASA HQ locations.
• Delivers and sets-up furniture as required/requested within committed time frames including furniture, equipment, and appliances.
• Responds to inquiries and requests in a professional manner.
• Provides problem-solving solutions when necessary.
• Demonstrates the ability to protect all items being transported and removed from damage through established best safety practices.
• Packs and unpacks items in an organized and efficient manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:


• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum Education: High Diploma.
• Minimum Experience: Entry Level. 1-3 years of experience as a Mover.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

TRAVEL:


Less than 10% as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


None.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


A professional office in which typical office equipment and information technology is used.


WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:


Eligibility to obtain NASA Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:


Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
