SUMMARY:
The Training Area Site Monitors contract requires continuous surveillance during Government non-duty hours, holidays and weekends. Hours of Operation are Monday-Friday, 1600-0800 hours; Saturday-Sunday, 0001-2400 hours; and Recognized Federal Holidays, 0001-2400 hours. The Single Point Entry Monitor is required to drive the Training Area providing a roving patrol between the buildings. The Single Entry Point Monitor screens, checks and observes individuals desiring entry into the Training Area, and immediately notifies the Supervisor if problems exist. Duties involve serving at a fixed location and checking entry points and perimeter by motor vehicle or foot. The Single Point Entry Monitor carries out detailed instructions and procedures provided by the Supervisor and/or Government primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and entry violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority. The primary duty is to observe, screen and maintain access control over the entry point and report violations of unauthorized personnel or suspicious activity. Duties require minimal training. The Single Point Entry Monitor is expected to be in the properclothing at the beginning and throughout their entire shift.

The work environment characteristics of this job are consistent with those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee must be able to work in harsh, wet, cold, and hot weather. Area is subject to blowing dust and sand with temperatures ranging from 10(-) degrees F in the winter to 110(+) degrees F in the summer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands of this position are consistent with those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position. While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear, and see. The employee must be able to stand on their feet continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and bend. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
Must be US citizen; must possess valid driver's license (any state) and must prove clean driving record and current vehicle insurance coverage. As a condition of employment, must have acceptable background check results and pass a pre-employment drug screening. This position may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis.
