Overview

The Shareholder Services Intern will work under the supervision of the Shareholder Services Manager to support the department’s initiatives, including maintaining shareholder records, assisting with shareholder events, and supporting communication efforts. The internship is designed to provide real-world experience in the field of shareholder services, with a focus on professional development and career readiness for future opportunities at The Tatitlek Corporation.


KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:


1. Shareholder Records and Data Management:
• Assist in maintaining and updating shareholder records, including address changes, dividend payment changes, and processing estate and stock transfers.
• Help organize and manage both electronic and hardcopy records of shareholder documents, including ownership information, gifting records, and other legal documents.
2. Communication Support:
• Assist with drafting and distributing communications such as newsletters, emails, and social media posts to keep shareholders informed about upcoming events and news.
• Support the implementation of the shareholder communication strategy, helping to maximize engagement.
3. Event Support:
• Provide logistical support for shareholder events and gatherings, including securing venues, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with event setup and registration.
• Assist with event planning, including the preparation of materials and coordinating door prizes and giveaways.
4. Administrative Assistance:
• Perform general office tasks such as filing, answering phones, data entry, and handling correspondence with shareholders as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:


• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree related to Business, Communications, or a relevant field.

 

Experience:


• No specific prior work experience required, though previous office or administrative experience is a plus.

 

Skills:


• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entry.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

 

Eligibility:


• Must be an original Tatitlek Corporation shareholder or a descendant of an original shareholder.
• Must be enrolled in 12+ credits for undergraduate students or 9+ credits for graduate students.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and provide transcripts each semester.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:


• During the academic year, interns can work between 10-20 hours per week.
• During school breaks or the summer, work hours may increase up to 40 hours per week.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


• Interns will earn between $18-$21 per hour, depending on their academic progress and experience.
• Interns will receive pro-rate pay for holidays, accrue vacation, and earn personal leave.
• A scholarship will be provided through the Copper Mountain Foundation to cover tuition, books, and a parking pass.


PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATIONS:


• Work performance will be reviewed quarterly with feedback from the Shareholder Services Manager.
• Interns must maintain a satisfactory performance and GPA, and failure to meet these standards could result in probation or separation from the internship program.

 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

As a condition of employment, must have acceptable reference and background check results.
