Overview

SUMMARY:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Assistant to support a Department of Defense (DoD) contract. The ideal candidate will provide administrative security support to the Joint Service Support Office (JSSO) in the following disciplines: INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, and Foreign Disclosure.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide administrative security support in compliance with DoD regulations.
  • Oversee INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
  • Ensure the secure handling and storage of classified information.
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for staff.
  • Perform security audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain and update security documentation and records.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with security requirements.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, or Foreign Disclosure.
  • Must possess a Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • Additional training may be required by the Government.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Government Security Programs.
  • Strong understanding of DoD security regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using security management software and tools.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and supervise activities for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position is subject to both indoor office envrionments and outdoor environments with varying weather and temperatures.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
