SUMMARY:
The Library Technician provides information service such as answering questions regarding card catalogs assists in the use of bibliographic tools, such as Library of Congress Catalog
Assists groups and individuals in locating and obtaining materials, furnishes information on library activities, facilities, rules and services, explains and assists in use of reference sources, such as card or book catalog, or book and periodical indexes to locate information.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform duties such as shelf maintenance and record keeping, circulation and retrieving of material.
Understands filing systems for each type of material and able to file correctly and accurately by specific numbers.
