Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Procurement Analyst/Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for goods and services, analyzing data to identify cost savings opportunities, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
  • Analyze data to identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage the procurement process for goods and services, including issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), evaluating proposals, and awarding contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure that they are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities and contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of procurement processes and contract terms.
  • The ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard; lift horizontally and vertically.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
