SUMMARY:


The Systems Engineer shall have 4 years of experience in the areas of facility and system design, network design, maintenance, operations, security acquisition and logistics support and change control. This position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Collect and arrange information used to formulate complex reports, presentations and similar documentation. Provide support for major surface ship combat system programs, Field Activities, and other supporting Navy programs.
  • Generate and maintain documentation to include test plans use cases, Test Reports, White Papers, Technical Studies, Technical Briefs, and other Technical Documentation.
  • Provide engineering and technical support on strategic planning, engineering, troubleshooting, installation, activation, and integration of advanced capabilities.
  • Participate in formal and informal system engineering design reviews, in process reviews, and technical interchange meetings to evaluate design alternatives.
  • Incorporate all applicable changes, including SCDs, ECPs, ORDALTS, and other configuration change documentation, which are applicable to the sites into the appropriate technical/engineering documentation.
  • Assist in the development, management, and implementation of policies, processes to ensure best practices are implemented in order to ensure the documentation, and information developed/managed by the Computing infrastructure team.
  • Review and provide redlines and comments to Product Drawings/Models and Associated Lists, against the Technical Data Package based upon feedback from the EDM and FAU builds.
  • Microsoft proficient: Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Work closely with Computing infrastructure technical leadership and Technical Direction Agents.

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience:

  • Four years related experience.
  • Experience in or knowledge of major surface ship combat system programs, Field Activities, and other supporting Navy programs.
  • Must have a DOD Secret security clearance.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:


The Systems Engineer shall have the ability to participate in the preparation of systems designs, systems testing, and systems troubleshooting.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:


Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTO are required. May require occasional travel.
